Well the weather at Wabatong has been stunning. We witnessed a lovely rainbow here, and managed to get a few shots of it. Rainbows are made when light is refracted through millions of droplets in the air. White light is made up of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet light, so when it is split into its components by the water droplets, it is seen as a rainbow. Rainbows usually occur when their is moisture in the air, such as after a rainstorm, when the sun is out.
Another bird has managed to hatch a brood of nestlings (Swamp Sparrow) these little young ones had just hatched and another egg was along the way to peeping his way threw. As you can see, even with their eyes sealed shut, they still have one thing on their mind....food.
